Artist
George Condo, born in New Hampshire
in 1957, had his first solo show in 1983 and has been
exhibiting both solo and in group shows on both sides
of the Atlantic ever since. He is a man possessed by
visions, painting what he sees – the “antipodal
beings” that dominate his imagination. In 1999
he received the Acadamy Award in Art from the American
Academy of Arts and Letters, and in 2000 a feature
film was made following a year in the creation of a
painting. He lives and works in New York. |
